One time gift

Gifts can be made using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, credit/debit card, checking or savings account. Please note that the amount we receive will be approximately 3% lower than the designated gift amount due to online processing fees.

Recurring gifts

Recurring gifts can be set up online using your credit card, checking or savings account. Money is withdrawn directly from your bank account in the amount you specify and on the day you specify. This type of payment makes it easy to establish a regular giving schedule.

Other ways to give

We are often asked can I contribute stock, gifts-in-kind or other donations. The answer is yes! Please contact our Finance Department for information about these types of gifts.

Should I tithe based on my pre-tax or after-tax income?

Ever wonder what people mean when they talk about tithing on gross or net income? The most common view is that gross earnings are the amount of God’s provision, and the tithe should be based on one-tenth of God’s provision. Taxes are generally considered payment for the privileges and services provided by the government. Though scripture doesn’t necessarily use the literal terms “net” or “gross,” it is important to note that the spirit in which we give is of greatest value to God. He tells us in II Corinthians 9 that “each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give; not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Where do I mail my donations?

Please make your checks payable to Westside Church and mail to the address listed below. If you would like your tithe check designated for the Westside Campus, South Campus, Sisters Campus or Online Campus, please write the campus name in the memo line of your check.

BEND, OR 97701

Do you have envelopes available for me to mail in my tithe?

Yes! If you would like for us to mail you a supply of envelopes for your tithe contributions, please contact our church office at 541-382-7504. A supply of envelopes is also available at the Information Center at each campus. If you typically place your tithe check in an offering bucket during worship services, you do not need to use an envelope.

Can I make a stock contribution?

If you wish to give stock gifts to Westside Church please contact our Finance Department at 541-382-7504. We will provide you with the information you need to complete your transfer.

What is the deadline for the annual contributions?

Cash contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31 to be included on your giving statement for that year. Online transactions must be initiated by December 31.

What if I don’t have enough money to tithe?

Giving 10% of your income to your church can be a big – and often frightening – commitment! But if scripture tells us to honor Him with our first fruits and our blessings will be overflowing, we must learn to trust that He is faithful to provide. God wants us to trust Him. Seek His guidance in how much you should give, and he will honor your faithfulness and obedience.

Why do you accept credit cards?

Used within the parameters for which they were originally created, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a credit or debit card to tithe. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option.
