Baptism

The decision to follow Jesus is monumental.

When we choose Jesus, we profess that He presides over our lives and we choose to lay everything aside in pursuit of Christ. But we do not walk the path alone.

One of the most beautiful examples of this is when we gather as a church for water baptisms.

An outward statement of an inward commitment, baptism is an important step in any believers spiritual life as well as a beautiful opportunity for us to come alongside and support our brothers and sisters.

Four times each year we witness and celebrate the decision members of our community have made to spend their lives following Jesus.

Whether an indoor tank of water or in the chilly river, our pastors and leaders climb in the water with those choosing to say, “yes,” to Jesus. Our church cheers from the sidelines, rejoicing that our family just got a little bit bigger.

It is the most heartfelt and moving of celebrations. It’s about commitment. It’s about community. We are in this together.

What an incredible statement to witness! Because of Jesus, we will never be the same and this is the very moment that marks our transformation.
